11 Tips for DRIVING at NIGHT...

Hi all. Last day I share with you about car care tips. Today I'm going to share about driving tips at night. Maybe before a week for becoming Syawal, many drivers will drive at night to their hometown.

As you know, some of us who like to drive at night.

That was because while driving at night is less traffic conditions and cooler weather provide a better level of comfort.

However, driving at night without risks, especially late at night where our bodies are accustomed to rest (sleep).

In terms of scientific, natural clock in the human body have programmed us to feel very sleepy during the two periods. The time is - between 1.00 am to 6.00 am and between 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm.

According to the study by Horne & Reyner (1995), the problem of drowsy while driving at these times could be the cause of the accident.

In addition, physical problems such as the ability to distinguish colors and peripheral view (a side view of the eye or eye tail) all have lower levels than the day.

And the fact that you have to think about is a car's light throwing itself limits the rate of safe braking.

High light capable of illuminating only 100 meters to 150 meters. If you drive at a speed of 100 km/h, you need more than 60 meters to stop.

That's mean, if you drive at a speed of 110 km/h, you have a small chance to stop pedaling from the object coming to you earlier.

However, if you still have to drive at night, below are 11 tips that my be useful to you, insyaAllah.

    - Front lights of the vehicle must be arranged in accordance with the actual position.
    - Each vehicle service centers have the right size for the right position front lights.
    - It is important because if the light is too low, you can not see far ahead.
    - And if the lights are too high, drivers from the opposite direction will be dazzled and may violate you. If not, you will be cursed.

2. Change the bulb

    - Bulbs vehicle (halogen type), although not burn, will not hold forever.
    - Change the bulb if it has been more than three years.
    - The bulbs which has a throw distance farther. It's a bit expensive, and often, the differences were not significant.
    - Do not store the bulbs in white because even look pretty, it is not directly useful in times of fog or at dusk. It also dazzling other drivers.
    - If your front lighting system of halogen type, do not change the system HID bulbs for halogen reflector system different from the HID. If done well, it may seem bats but it will make the light throwing scattered and unfocused.

***I preferred relaying the headlights & upgrade halogen bulbs to 100 watts. Regular vehicle bulb is 50 watts.

3. Clean the headlight lenses

    - Because the headlights are now increasingly sophisticated and distinctively "wrap around" (according to the angle of the car), headlights now have a cover or a lens made of plastic.
    - For Malaysia's weather is warm, the plastic lens of the car for this market does have anti-UV protection function. However, it still will begin to turn yellow after six to seven years.
    - For recond car fans, front headlight lenses will begin to turn yellow after a few years because it does not have anti-UV coating.
    - Because of the yellowish lenses, it reduces the power of the throw of light.
    - Lenses need to be cleaned for optimal lighting capabilities.

    - This denied by the Association Sunglasses USA (yes, it's a huge industry and is worth billions of US Dollars).
    - Yellow glass might help increase the contrast for your eyes, but it also prevents the amount of light entering the eye and reduce vision.
    - Use of glasses with anti-glare coating because it does help.
    - For those of you who did wear glasses, make sure your astigmatism values were inserted into the lens as it is a major cause of glare.

6. Sensitive to the beast

The risk of driving at night is a wild animal on the road.

    - Because it's animal, it does not pass in the proper place and he refused to wear clothing with reflective stripes.
    - By it, your eyes get used to strike the retina of the eye of an animal at night.
    - Your vehicle light will turn its eyes glowing in the night.

Best strategy- is to slowing down the vehicle as quickly as possible using the emergency brake

    - You also have a risks losing control of the vehicle if you try to turn too quickly at high speed.

Part front of the vehicle has a higher resilience of the side as it is designed to absorb impact during an accident.

7. Do you look forward vehicle lights?

    - There between us illusioned and saw the headlights of cars coming from the opposite direction.
    - This will dazzle your eyes and if you want to look forward again, a dark path that will be dizziness.
    - One more thing that you need to remember is the vehicle (cars and motorcycles) will move towards where your eyes are looking at.
    - That means if you stare at the vehicle in the path, inadvertently steering will you move in that direction.

8. Lower the rear view mirror if the glare.

    - There motorists who use illegal HID lights (installed itself and not because of the standard) or light bulbs that tipped over.
    - There are also drivers who did not know the height and dazzling lights in front of us (if you have vehicle lights can shine the light into the cabin of the vehicle in front, it means you light up).

If this happens, we send down the side mirrors and rear view mirror.
    - If you do not hold on the lamp holder, slow down and let them passed through you.
    - And then, strengthened his faith and do not seek revenge by taking the vehicle using your high lights anyway.

9. Clean the windscreen with newspaper

    - Surface greasy on the windscreen would cause glare on the driver.
    - Clean the windshield, inside and out by using the old newspaper because it's able to remove these oils.
-Keep a microfiber cloth to clean the vehicle in front of the mirror.

10. Clean the mirror

    - Dirty side mirror indeed impede and sometimes, giving the effect of glare to the driver.
    - Clean the side mirror before drive at night.

11. Make sure the vehicle is in good condition

    - Please be reminded, if our vehicle is damaged, there is no 24-hour workshop.
    - The cost of delay is also higher than usual.
    - So, make sure you have saved the emergency contact number with you in the event of an unwanted.
